Yolanda Carr has joined the Water District Board of Directors taking the place of Ms. Billie Joe Tennill as the representative of the City of Odem.

She will fulfill the remainder of Ms. Tennill's term which runs through May 2022. Billie Jo, who served as board president for the past 17 years, passed away unexpectedly on April 1st.

Ms. Carr has served as the superintendent of the Odem-Edroy Independent School District since 2018. She serves as a member of the San Patricio Emergency Management team, is on the leadership advisory committee of Education Service Center 2, and is a committee member for the Community Action Corporation of South Texas.

Previously she served as associate superintendent of schools in Crane and in a number of management and classroom roles in the Ector County ISD (Odessa).
