Some of the cities and public water providers served by the Water District were under boil water notices resulting from last February's extended freezing weather.

Boil water notices have been lifted, or were never in effect, for Portland, Taft, Odem, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, Rockport, Ingleside-on-the-Bay, Gregory, Rincon Water Supply and Seaboard Water Supply Corp. customers.

After such advisories are lifted residents should flush household pipes, ice makers and other equipment prior to using the water for drinking or cooking. Flushing simply means letting the water run to ensure that no potentially contaminated water remains in your pipes.
