Doil P. Kellar, Jr. is the newest member of the Board of Directors of the San Patricio Municipal Water District.
Mr. Kellar was appointed by the board to represent the City of Aransas Pass and to serve out the term of Harlan Roberts who died in November after a long illness. Mr. Roberts had served as a board member since 2008.
Mr. Kellar is a native of San Patricio County and lifelong resident of Aransas Pass. He works for IMC Consulting, LLC, a national consulting firm providing program and project management to public sector clients. He has more than 30 years experience in the industrial and municipal water treatment industry including 16 years with Bay Chemical & Supply Co. (now General Chemical) located in Odem. He is a 1978 graduate of Texas A&M University.
The Water District is governed by an eight member board of directors. Seven directors are elected from member communities (Odem, Taft, Gregory, Portland, Ingleside, Aransas Pass and Rockport). The 8th director is appointed by the other members.
