TASK FORCE WANTS ACTION ON ADDITIONAL WATER SUPPLIES
- A Blue Ribbon Task Force on water supply has recommended the Coastal Bend region move forward on projects to deliver Colorado River water, develop ground water resources and work on brackish ground water projects to increase overall supply.

MUNICIPAL WATER RATE INCREASE COMING IN 2014
- The Water District has proposed a 2014 municipal water rate increase of 25 cents per thousand gallons resulting from additional costs and debt service coverage for outstanding bonds.

- Fitch Ratings has affirmed the A+ rating on bonds issued by the Water district but reduced the future outlook to "negative" because of water rates.

- The combined storage in Lake Corpus Christi and Choke Canyon Reservoir rose to 53.3% on Cotober 31st, pushing back the imposition of greater water use restrictions.

- A major rainfall event in the Nueces River Basin sent a wave of flood waters flowing downstream that filled Lake Corpus Christi.

LAKE LEVELS FORCE WATER RESTRICTIONS
- Mandatory Stage 2 water resrictions have been triggered by the combined level of the Lake Corpus Christi/Choke Canyon Reservoir System dropping below 40% of storage capacity.
