- A contract was awarded for the first 3.5-mile section of the 16-mile transmission line that will stretch westward from the Portland area.

BEASLEY AVENUE PIPELINE IN SERVICE
- The new 24-inch Beasley Avenue drinking water transmission line was put in service during August and the street has been repaved.

- A contract is expected to be awarded soon on the first section of a 16-mile transmission line serving areas west of Portland.

LAND PURCHASED FOR PIPE PLANT
- TPCO America Corp. has purchased the site for its proposed seamless pipe manufacturing plant after TECQ approval of an air permit.

WEST PORTLAND TANK COMPLETE
- Contractor Preload Inc. has completed the 2 million gallon tank and turned over to the District.

DISTRICT GETS CLEAN AUDIT
- An independent annual audit shows the District is financially stable. The clean audit opinion for 2009 was presented by Allan Johnston, CPA.

- Water from the District's Plant C and small bottling plant was judged best tasting in AWWA contest.

- The District is building a new 2 million gallon treated water storage tank west of Portland.

- TPCO America Corp. has announced plans to build a $1 billion minimill and drilling pipe plant at a site near Gregory.
